Gong Alternatives for Small Sales Teams (2026)

Gong is built for large sales organisations. If you do not have a RevOps team or an enterprise budget, here are the alternatives worth comparing, and who each one suits.

Why small teams look beyond Gong

Gong's pricing page does not list prices. It describes a per-user licence plus a platform fee, and asks you to pick a team size and fill in a form for a proposal. That model suits a large organisation with a procurement process. A ten-person team usually wants to see a number first, and to run it without someone administering it.

How to choose

You want deal risk scoring without extra modules. Look at ClioIQ, where the risk score is part of the Business plan, and at Avoma, where it is an add-on you stack on the seat price.

You mainly need good notes at a low price. Fathom's free and low-cost tiers are the easiest place to start, though CRM sync only arrives on its Business tier.

You want CRM fields filled in for you. Sybill's CRM Autofill does this on its Business tier, with a 10-field cap before Enterprise. ClioIQ files into its own Clio CRM or syncs to HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho.

You are large, with RevOps. Gong is a mature choice with deep coaching and analytics, and you should look at it seriously.

Where ClioIQ is not the right fit. ClioIQ's notetaker joins scheduled Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls. Phone calls are in early access, and walk-ins or calls made from a rep's personal number are not captured. If your team sells mostly by phone, weigh that before a trial.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest Gong alternative?

Free tiers exist at several vendors, such as Fathom and Sybill, but they do not include deal risk scoring. Compare what you need, not only the starting price.

Do small teams need a RevOps person to run these tools?

Not for the lighter tools. Gong-style platforms are designed for an administrator; ClioIQ is built to run without one.

Can I keep my existing CRM?

Yes with all of these. ClioIQ also includes a built-in CRM if you do not have one yet.

Which one should I trial first?

Start with the one whose pricing page lists the features you need on a plan you would actually buy. ClioIQ offers a 14-day free trial with no card.
